Martin Hoey - Web Analyst

Martin enjoys using his wide ranging experience and knowledge in application/database development to deliver practical web solutions, while constantly refining and updating his skills.

In December 2014. he was delighted to pass two Sitefinity partner exams; qualifying as a Sitefinity Business Consultant and Sitefinity Solutions Developer.

In his spare time, Martin enjoys cycling, Xbox 360 gaming and breathing (he's not getting any younger!).

Jonathan Walker - Web Developer

Since moving to Protean Systems, Jonathan has led many different projects in partnership with the Local Council.

Some of his personal projects have improved the local community and provided hosting of websites for local organisations.

In addition to working within the business, Jonathan is currently studying for an Undergraduate Computing Degree (BSc Honours) with the aim to complete a MSc after graduating.

Benji - Wildlife Specialist

Benji (above) putting the finishing touches to the new Protean website design. Among his various outdoor interests, Benji considers mice to be one of his favourite pursuits!

Benji can be found at his keyboard most days, usually asleep.

Paul Chandler - Data Specialist

For over twenty years Paul has been utilising a range of Microsoft technologies to create end-user OLTP applications and general data file processing solutions.

Paul developed and supported overnight data feeds system to and from Yamaha Japan. The Project was such a success for Yamaha (UK) that it was used across all Yamaha’s European Satellite offices for global data distribution.

Paul's hobbies range from sailing (qualified Day Skipper), house renovation, running (seven marathons) and writing iOS games (there’s no money in it!).

Andy Hawes - SEO Project Specialist

Andy is an SEO and on-line marketing expert who focuses on planning SEO strategies to maintain top organic search engine positions for the most popular keywords relating to customers business, as well as running Google Ad Words Advertising to gain top ranking whilst the organic SEO profile is being raised.

He has more than 25 years of experience as a specialist in IT solution delivery on mainframe, mini and PC platforms, having previously worked within the UK, across Europe and in America including roles with industry leaders such as Hitachi, EDS, Avon Cosmetics, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, First Data Resources and British Aerospace.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, passionate about web development and interested in keeping pace with internet technologies.

A hybrid with skills across a range of the web development stack. Just as important, is the ability to communicate with clients, understand business requirements and a desire to learn.

Of course you may not have the full range but for the right candidate, ongoing training will be a key part of the role.
